The HTH will bring together educational and medical researchers, clinicians, educators, students, industry partners and public health staff to drive excellence in innovation. It is the culmination of collaboration with partners within the Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct, accompanying the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital, the Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre and private hospital services, and partners Health Infrastructure, and numerous other NSW Health entities including South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD). The precinct will become the largest co-located health and innovation precinct in NSW.

The HTH transaction delivers a highly efficient capital structure for the University, whilst providing significant opportunity for the creation of a symbiotic ecosystem between industry, research and education. The bespoke structured financing transaction meets UNSW’s specific needs through an innovative financing structure.

Particular congratulations to our colleagues at UNSW, Andrew Walters, Niki Douglas, Amelia Anderberg, Shane McLoughlin and Bojan Sodic on a fabulous outcome for the University. It was a pleasure to work on HTH with Financial & Commercial Advisor, Michael Palassis of PAXON GROUP, and the rest of the advisory team.

Klok Advisory’s Managing Director Sam Sangster has been working on the Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct from its strategic genesis, leading the creation of the Greater Randwick Urban Masterplan, the strategic land use planning and project implementation that joined the UNSW and Health campuses, initiating the substantial new NSW Health Infrastructure projects, acting as commercial advisor to UNSW on conceiving this HTH transaction and finally, leading the HTH transaction.

Assisting UNSW deliver the HTH in a collaborative and innovative transaction further demonstrates Klok Advisory’s unrivalled capability in the strategic planning and delivery of health, education and innovation precincts.
